A New Hobby

So I play the piano and I like to sing. But I have been listening to this Neil Young song on our little imeem player (its down at the very bottom of this blog). I now seriously think the harmonica is the coolest instrument ever. And I don't think I know anyone that plays one. I want to be as cool as this guy.

P.S. Also listen to "All I want is You" by Barry Louis Polisar. You might recognize it from a little flick called Juno.

Gary's Photos

So.. I would like to blow-up, matte (sp?), and frame one of Gary's pictures. I think it would add a really nice touch to our house. And we really need more artwork around here. I just can't decide. Any ideas?

5 Things you probably Don't Know about...

Gary

1. He butters his PB & J sandwiches
2. He used to be on a rollerblading team in high school called team 8 and they were actually sponsored. Legit!
3. When he has bread or anything of that texture he WILL sneeze if he doesn't have some water immediately. We call it his "bread sneeze" :)
4. He loves watches. He even has a watch forum he checks regularly.
5. He absolutely detests churros (he threw one up once)

Angela

1. I had white blonde hair as a little child (I still have one little blonde streak in the back)
2. I love reading Jane Austen's books and I have a growing collection of movies based on them (thank you Amazon!)
3. I could claim dual citizenship if I wanted (Mexico). But should I? If you have an opinion on this let me know.
4. I put milk in my ramen noodles. (That one is my mom's fault) It really is good
5. My ring size is 3 1/2.

Now....5 things Gary and I have in common

1. We both are serious night owls
2. We love italian and brazilian food
3. We were once in the same ward as babies. Awwww...
4. We both have four siblings (Gary is one of five boys!)
5. We love a good movie (95% of our dates include one) There you have it!

I don't like the word "resolution"

So I am sitting here at work with absolutely nothing to do (I'm off the clock-its lunch). I was thinking about how I really haven't made a very definitive new years "resolution". That word is so absolute. I like New year's "possibilities" or "options".
Here they are...

-Take my vitamins. Glucosomine and Vitamin C :)
-Get more sleep. (I am such a night person!)
-Eat healthier
-Watch less TV.
-Be very nice to my husband (I can be a crank)

Well that was a short list.

Ninja Parades and Schizos

I couldn't help myself. We saw these and had a good laugh.

I really really wish that this would happen!

Ninja Parade Slips Through Town Unnoticed Once Again

Gary is a psychology student. He thinks its a good idea...

The Best of 2007

Our New 42" flat-screen TV. We have had the crappiest TV for the last 2 1/2 years. So if you want to watch a movie-come over!

This is such a good movie! And the soundtrack is even better. Steve Carell is so hilarious and the situation he is put in, is classic. As soon as this is out on DVD we are getting it.
And its clean. For those of you who care.

Our trip this summer to the Martineau reunion in Colonia Juarez, Mexico. Gary got to meet a lot of my family and we had a blast. Getting Montezuma's revenge was not the highlight.

Matt Damon kicks rear end in this! I thought it was the best of the series...maybe there will be a fourth?

Letting go of Mikey, our turtle. I bought him from some guy that came into my work selling baby turtles. He was in a little empty salsa container. I'm sure it was probably illegal or something. But he was so darn cute! Well, the poor guy was bored out of his mind at our house. So we gave him to Nick and Maddy. Our nephews Owen and Corbin have taken great care of him. Thanks guys!

Shallow Hal

So Gary and I just hung out with some friends last night and we watched the movie "Shallow Hal" (the one with Jack Black and Gwenyth Paltrow- don't you just love her!). I had never seen it before and had always had the perception that it was really raunchy and dirty..etc...BUT it actually had a really good message. Beauty comes from the inside. I like that. Maybe I won't wear makeup anymore and will only wear Gary's T-shirts. Ummm...OK, so maybe I DO care how I look to other people. And hey you know what really makes me mad?girls that don't have to wear make-up! Because that is just not fair! Perfect skin and long eyelashes should not be allowed! Yes in a way make-up is kind of fun. But I am really starting to envy women that have that tattooed-on eyeliner. Wouldn't that be wonderful?
