So last weekend Gary and I decided it was time to explore Sedona. Its only about 40 minutes or so from our house. So on Saturday, we headed out through Oak Creek Canyon and fell in love with it! We went on the perfect day.
When we got there, we had a bite to eat and walked around looking at all the shops. Here is my GQ husband. I made him do this. The other picture I'm sitting in a pretty little garden or "gallery" of wind catchers. And for those of you who have been asking for another pregnant pic, there you have it. I know it doesn't showcase the bump that well, but it was the best I could do.
Now for the real stuff. We discovered the Sedona Fudge Company in our little adventure. We just couldn't help ourselves. The smell coming from that place alone would make a pregnant woman cry. It almost did. Let me just say in our defense, Gary and I have been eating super healthy. No sweets at all. But we decided to treat ourselves to some peanut butter fudge. It was worth the calories. The following pictures show the fudge being made. It really was like something out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
And last but not least. Our latest bargain. We went into Old Navy recently, just to browse. We found this little sweater vest for baby. It was $2.97. I mean it has a robot on it! We had to get it.

A sad end to a great era
Angela and I decided that we are going to try to update our blog more often (I know we have been pretty bad at it lately). Well one thing that has been on my mind lately is the Phoenix Suns (one of my biggest obsessions). As Angela can vouch, I get pretty affected when they win or lose. Well as many of you know they are now officially out of the playoff race. So as I try to think positively as to what the future may hold for them I ran across this video that brought a smile to my face.
This is a video from a month or so ago when the Suns held a Celebrity Charity Event. As part of this event they had some of their new guys "sing" a couple songs. The first guy is Lou Amundson singing (Vanilla Ice) with Shaq and Alando Tucker dancing along. Then we get an excruciating number by the rookie from Slovenia, Goran Dragic. Then when you think it can't get any worse our other rookie, Robin Lopez, attempted to sing the theme song from Cheers. Well if you are feeling down about the Suns or you just want a good laugh check out this video.

And the baby is.....
So today we finally had our 20 week ultrasound! We were both very anxious to find out if we were going to have a boy or girl. For some reason we were kind of expecting to have a girl. In fact we were basically settled on a girl name that we both liked. It has been really hard for us to come up with boy names that we both like. So when we got to our doctor's office the ultrasonographer asked us if we wanted to know the sex of the baby. (Let me think about this for a second....YES!) So that was the first thing that she checked for. Our baby has been kicking quite a bit lately and as soon as they started, "it" started to wiggle like crazy. Just as she was about to take the first picture the baby wiggled out of place, but I could already tell..."it" looked like a boy. She was then able to get a really good look at "it" and sure enough, we are having a BOY!
I guess boys are destined to have a majority in the Tenney family :)
Everything looked really good in the ultrasound and the baby seems to be developing perfectly. The only concern the doctor had was it seems the placenta is kind of low so they will be monitering that as the baby gets closer to being born. If it does not move at all there is a potential that we may have to have a c-section.
Well here are a few pictures we got to take home. Unfortunately we don't have a scanner so I had to take pictures of the ultrasound pictures on our digital camera.
This is the babies head and face:
This is the bottom of his foot:
This is a picture of his arms kind of crossed lifted up in front of his face. That big round circle on the bottom left of the image is his belly:
And just so you know that this is not an April fools joke:
I guess this is only useful if you can read ultrasounds better than me, but the ultrasonographer conveniently labeled it "boy" for us.
Oh and this is around week 19 (about a week ago).

No longer theoretical
Okay so I (Gary) had to post an update after Angela's first doctors appointment today. It was such a neat experience for both of us. Up until now I kind of felt like we were only theoretically pregnant. Even though three pregnancy tests had told me that we were going to have a child it did not seem real since Angela is not showing yet or anything. Today we had our first appointment with Angela's OBGYN (we really like him by the way). During the exam the doctor let us listen to see if there is a heart beat yet. Angela is about 10 weeks along and he said that is when you typically can start to hear the heart beat. It was so cool when he found it. It was so cute to hear this little heart racing along. That was the first time it really seemed real to me that we are going to have a child come into our family. The heart beat sounded like this.
Later in the exam he did an ultrasound to verify how far along Angela is. That was not scheduled, but he had time so we were able to actually see the baby in there kicking around. It was so funny because the baby was so active. I did not realize how active it would be already at this stage in it's development. It was kicking his/her legs around and throwing it's arms around. It even whacked it's head a couple times. We hope that is not a bad sign ;) I was surprised how clear the ultrasound was to me. When I have seen ultrasound pictures on the internet of babies at this stage it always seemed hard to tell what was what. But when you can actually see it in motion it all seems much clearer. Needless to say today was a good day for both Ang and myself.
Here is a grainy picture of the next Tenney to come into the world.
The baby is upside-down. It's head is as big as it's body. You can see both arms and the legs are tucked below.
It looks like Angela's official due date will be around August 18. The day after my birthday!

Good News
So we really need to post some pictures from our trip to Israel with Gary's family. And we promise to do that soon. But in the meantime...
We're pregnant!
And we are so excited! I'm due in August (I find out the exact date next week hopefully). August is a pretty busy month since that's when both our b-days are and our anniversary. So maybe we'll hit one of those days.
As for me I am perplexed as to why its called "morning sickness" because I am usually sickest at night! I guess everyone is different. Anyways if you have any advice for us let us know! :)

Alright this first tag is from Nicole and its all about my hubby. I think you'll enjoy this!
All the Places Gary has lived:
1) When he was a kid he was a KJ fan (Suns again) and instead of getting his autograph he gave KJ a picture he drew (how cute)
2) He won the Turkey Trot in fifth grade
3) He likes to do home decorating even more than me! He has great taste and he always knows what to pick for our house.
4) He loves creepy Alfred Hitchcock movies (Vertigo, Rear Window...the list goes on and on)
5 Quirky things about Gary:
This is the beach at Rocky Point from our trip this summer with my family. We had a blast walking around in the beautiful weather.
So there it is!
