Hey guys! We had some maternity pictures taken last month by my talented friend Beka (and second shooter hubby Brandon). They were taken at the Orange Groves in Mesa. We love them!

So check it out!
Oh and a little baby update. We saw the doctor today and things are looking good. I'm officially 2 weeks away from my due date and baby is big and healthy. My blood pressure is a little too high I guess so I'm officially on bed rest, which I don't really mind! It is weird though because I don't have preeclampsia or anything and I feel pretty good, just tired of course. We see him again on Monday (my b-day coincidentally) and if it's still too high he will probably induce me. I don't know if it will be that day or anything, but he has said that he probably won't let me go past 39 weeks (I will be 38 weeks tomorrow) So baby may be coming very very soon! We are excited!

But we don't really watch much T.V. these days, those are just my favorites.
So, I keep looking at that little pregnancy ticker and the very small number of days left until I am due. Its kind of freaking me out! But really I am excited to have our little boy. I just can't believe how fast this last trimester has gone. It's a lot more fun when you aren't vomiting (sorry). I'm still working, although my boss has been out of town for the last week, so we all got the week off. Its been nice being a lazy bum and spending so much time with Gary. Pretty soon it won't be just the two of us anymore. We'll keep you updated on what's happening around here.
Oh and pretty big news, Gary was just offered a very cool teaching position at NAU. He was teaching an introductory course for freshman as a grad assistant last semester and thought that's what he would be doing this fall also. But, after interviewing him today, they offered him a position to teach the Developmental Psychology course. That's pretty big stuff.
Ya, my husband is pretty much awesome :)

Baby Room
Well we basically finished decorating the baby room now that we have a little more time with school out for the summer. I think that it turned out pretty cute. Gary and I go in there all the time and just sit and talk. So we thought we would share some pictures of his room so far. Unfortunately we are not able to paint at all in the place we are renting so we had to make due with the off-white walls.
This is his crib and some really cute bedding that we found at Target a couple months ago. We got the crib from walmart and we really love it. It was actually ranked as the #2 crib by consumer reports (below a $900 crib!).
Both Gary and I made some of the decorations by hand. Gary made this really cute mobile. We saw one that was really similar online but it was really expensive and Gary thought that he could make it himself. I think that it turned out perfect. Maybe our boy will be a scuba diver like his daddy.
I made these vintage looking blocks. They are not completed yet because we are still not 100% sure of his name. Once we know for sure what we want to name him we will put letters on each of the blocks that will spell his name. The empty picture frames will probably have pictures of him once he is born. This is his changing table and dresser. Most of the pictures on the walls are from Etsy.
I am sure that I will be spending a lot of time on this rocker.Gary put in these really convenient hooks which are perfect for hanging our diaper bags.
So that is basically our baby room (which was Gary's office). As fun as it was to set this all up we can't wait to actually put it to use!

We love weddings!
So we've spent the last few weekends in May in Phoenix for weddings. So fun! I love weddings and receptions. I loved them as a kid too. Yes, maybe it does have a lot to do with the yummy food. And I love buying gifts and wrapping them up cute. I would seriously love wrapping presents as a job. But these weddings were especially fun because my brother Randy got married in May to the coolest girl, Meghan. They are such a fun couple. We were able to see so much family down for the wedding! We were loving it.
And more recently my good friend Melissa was also married in May to the sweetest guy, John. I am so happy for her! Unfortunately I don't have a ton of pictures of her day yet, but that first picture you see was of Gary and I at her reception. It was truly gorgeous and I had such a blast seeing so many friends. And there is the baby bump. It is getting bigger every single day. No, by the end of each day it feels bigger! But I am feeling great for the most part. I am still working so that's something. As most of you know I am a orthodontic dental asst. (braces), so I sit in a chair and work in people's mouths the majority of the time. I have noticed that my belly is starting to crowd the headrests on the chairs and every once in a while our baby will give a big kick! It actually pushes me away from the chair a little bit. So funny! That silly kid...Here Gary and I are waiting outside the Mesa temple for Randy and Meghan to make their appearance. My husband is hot. No question.
Awww. They are so cute together. And isn't her dress soooo pretty? I wish I had a better full-length shot of it. She looked amazing. It made me want to get married all over again. *Sigh*
I am such a girly girl. Even though lately because of my expanding belly, I only want to wear my yoga pants and t-shirts! But I love dressing up and doing my hair and make-up for things. I have always complained to Gary that there just aren't enough occasions for married couples to get all fancy. There is no adult prom in Flagstaff that I know of...but anyways. Randy and Meghan's reception was at her parents home and they did such a great job. It was beautiful. Gary and I got to dance under the stars. It was romantic. And it wasn't even our wedding.
rOoompa!
Nick & Maddy and the boys. Although we don't have the littlest, Jaren in there. They just moved to Puerto Rico recently, where my brother Nick is working for Johnson & Johnson. I am excited to hear about all their adventures!
This is pregnant me, my sister Alison and her newest addition, Sarah. She was the source of much entertainment and fun, such a cutie. It made me so excited to have our baby! Don't Alison and I look alike?
Mother and Daughters. Note the shorts I am wearing. This is certainly not the norm. But we went from Flagstaff 70 degrees to like 92 in Phoenix. I truly can't imagine pregnancy in Phoenix. People do it everyday I know and I'm sure that I will do it one day too. I guess thats what AC is for.
But we had such a blast seeing cousins, aunts, uncles. I had a cousin there that we realized I hadn't seen in 15 years...years! It was really fun to catch up. But anyways, congratulations to the happy couples. We love you!

Sedona, Fudge, and a Deal
So last weekend Gary and I decided it was time to explore Sedona. Its only about 40 minutes or so from our house. So on Saturday, we headed out through Oak Creek Canyon and fell in love with it! We went on the perfect day.
When we got there, we had a bite to eat and walked around looking at all the shops. Here is my GQ husband. I made him do this. The other picture I'm sitting in a pretty little garden or "gallery" of wind catchers. And for those of you who have been asking for another pregnant pic, there you have it. I know it doesn't showcase the bump that well, but it was the best I could do.
Now for the real stuff. We discovered the Sedona Fudge Company in our little adventure. We just couldn't help ourselves. The smell coming from that place alone would make a pregnant woman cry. It almost did. Let me just say in our defense, Gary and I have been eating super healthy. No sweets at all. But we decided to treat ourselves to some peanut butter fudge. It was worth the calories. The following pictures show the fudge being made. It really was like something out of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
And last but not least. Our latest bargain. We went into Old Navy recently, just to browse. We found this little sweater vest for baby. It was $2.97. I mean it has a robot on it! We had to get it.

A sad end to a great era
Angela and I decided that we are going to try to update our blog more often (I know we have been pretty bad at it lately). Well one thing that has been on my mind lately is the Phoenix Suns (one of my biggest obsessions). As Angela can vouch, I get pretty affected when they win or lose. Well as many of you know they are now officially out of the playoff race. So as I try to think positively as to what the future may hold for them I ran across this video that brought a smile to my face.
This is a video from a month or so ago when the Suns held a Celebrity Charity Event. As part of this event they had some of their new guys "sing" a couple songs. The first guy is Lou Amundson singing (Vanilla Ice) with Shaq and Alando Tucker dancing along. Then we get an excruciating number by the rookie from Slovenia, Goran Dragic. Then when you think it can't get any worse our other rookie, Robin Lopez, attempted to sing the theme song from Cheers. Well if you are feeling down about the Suns or you just want a good laugh check out this video.

And the baby is.....
So today we finally had our 20 week ultrasound! We were both very anxious to find out if we were going to have a boy or girl. For some reason we were kind of expecting to have a girl. In fact we were basically settled on a girl name that we both liked. It has been really hard for us to come up with boy names that we both like. So when we got to our doctor's office the ultrasonographer asked us if we wanted to know the sex of the baby. (Let me think about this for a second....YES!) So that was the first thing that she checked for. Our baby has been kicking quite a bit lately and as soon as they started, "it" started to wiggle like crazy. Just as she was about to take the first picture the baby wiggled out of place, but I could already tell..."it" looked like a boy. She was then able to get a really good look at "it" and sure enough, we are having a BOY!
I guess boys are destined to have a majority in the Tenney family :)
Everything looked really good in the ultrasound and the baby seems to be developing perfectly. The only concern the doctor had was it seems the placenta is kind of low so they will be monitering that as the baby gets closer to being born. If it does not move at all there is a potential that we may have to have a c-section.
Well here are a few pictures we got to take home. Unfortunately we don't have a scanner so I had to take pictures of the ultrasound pictures on our digital camera.
This is the babies head and face:
This is the bottom of his foot:
This is a picture of his arms kind of crossed lifted up in front of his face. That big round circle on the bottom left of the image is his belly:
And just so you know that this is not an April fools joke:
I guess this is only useful if you can read ultrasounds better than me, but the ultrasonographer conveniently labeled it "boy" for us.
Oh and this is around week 19 (about a week ago).
